How long is the recovery?Bruising is possible, but there is no downtime after treatment. Avoid excessive heat, such as saunas, for 24-48 hours.Avoid vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours post-treatment. No bending over or lying down for 4 hours post-treatment. Alcohol may cause bruising to be worse; however, it will not affect the result of treatment. Avoid facials or massage for 7-14 days post-treatment. Avoid massaging the face or rubbing the product vigorously. Avoid hats for 24-48 hours.

How long do the results last?Results normally last from 3-4 months, but can vary depending on how quickly one metabolizes the product. Maintenance is key!

What happens during a consultation?You will discuss the specific areas of your face that you would like to address, as well your facial anatomy to ensure proper symmetry, and appropriate treatment recommendations.

How should I prepare for my appointment?To minimize your chances of bruising, we recommend avoiding ibuprofen, and blood-thinning medications for 3 days before your injections. If you are prone to cold sores, you may want to start a course of prophylactic antiviral treatment before receiving filler. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment to minimize risk for bruising Note: Notify your provider if you are taking a blood thinner like Plavix, Coumadin, or additional medically prescribed blood thinners You may not receive fillers if you are pregnant or nursing. Allergy to lidocaine is a problem if you want a dermal filler treatment. Those with lidocaine allergies are not cleared for dermal fillers.

How long is the recovery?Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours as it may increase swelling or bruising Bruising and swelling is expected for up to two weeks. Ensure that you do not have any big plans or events in the following two weeks after your appointment to give ample time for healing. There may be some redness and soreness, but it should resolve within 3 days.
